The Coronation coin that costs as much as a new Porsche
Let me introduce you to one of the most expensive coins I’ve ever seen…
Just 5 of these Half Kilo Gold coins have been commissioned to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on 6 May 2023 and they are priced at a staggering £59,995!
It’s also one of the largest Gold coins I’ve ever seen, measuring an immense 100mm in diameter.
And it needs to be because the coin contains the entirety of King Charles III’s first-ever speech as monarch.
On screens across the world, His Majesty paid tribute to his mother and revealed his vision and desires for this forthcoming reign.
All 977 words he spoke to the nation following the death of his mother. It started:
I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow. Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen – my beloved Mother – was an inspiration and example to me and to all my family, and we owe her the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their mother; for her love, affection, guidance, understanding and example. Queen Elizabeth’s was a life well lived; a promise with destiny kept and she is mourned most deeply in her passing. That promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today…

Celebrating 150 Years of True Furry Friendship: The Kennel Club and its Extraordinary Legacy
This April, we celebrated Crufts, alongside the 150th Anniversary of The Kennel Club. An organisation dedicated to protecting dog breed standards, helping to keep our nation of pups fit and healthy, as well contributing to all dogs finding a loving home.

The Kennel Club: Making a Paws-itive Difference
Since being founded in 1873, The Kennel Club have devoted themselves to ‘making a positive difference for dogs and their owners’.
They have been working hard to ensure all dog breeds are cherished and well looked after. By promoting the responsible ownership and breeding of all pups, founding The Kennel Club Charitable Trust, running the Good Citizen Dog Training scheme, as well as committing themselves to educating first-time owners and bringing doggy-welfare to schools, through The Kennel Club Educational Trust.
A Paw-some Anniversary Party at Buckingham Palace
To mark their 150th anniversary, The Kennel Club has been given a Royal Prefix – making it, The Royal Kennel Club. And what better way to celebrate the granting of a Royal Prefix than our furry friends visiting Buckingham Palace?
Hosted by The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester (pictured above). The event took place on May 24th following the Club’s 150th anniversary. The event celebrated the evolution of the club. From the beginning in which the club brought order to dog shows, to today, where the club strives to promote canine welfare.
Crufts: Celebrating Man’s Best Friend
Following their establishment in 1873, the first The Kennel Club show was held under their own name, with an entry of 975 dogs. The Kennel Club held its first ever Crufts show in 1948. Since, we have seen the show grow into the much-loved event. One which has allowed a nation of canine companions to come together to inspire and celebrate their furry friends. Today we see over 24,000 four-legged friends at Crufts, over 3000 of which travel from overseas!

RELEASED TODAY: OFFICIAL UK STAR WARS™ 50ps
The first UK Star WarsTM coin collection has been released today to celebrate 40 years since the release of Return of the Jedi in 1983.
The Star Wars franchise is a worldwide phenomenon, and despite being the brainchild of American movie maker, George Lucas, the Star Wars franchise has many links to British Heritage and the United Kingdom.
The coins have been specially produced in partnership with The Royal Mint, Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm to create something extremely special for Star Wars’ fans and coin collectors alike.
The first design features none other than R2-D2TM and C-3POTM, with both characters inside the Millennium Falcon, the famous starship that has played a role in some of the greatest victories of the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic.
R2-D2TM and C-3POTM are the first to feature on the four-coin collection, with the other coins in the series also including other iconic duos including, Darth VaderTM and Emperor PalpetineTM, Luke SkywalkerTM and Princess LeiaTM, and Han SoloTM and ChewbaccaTM all with stunning designs that capture the true essence of the films.
Each coin is available in superior Brilliant Uncirculated Quality, or strictly limited Silver Proof Quality.
