Her Majesty the Queens reign £5 coin . What a fantastic job she did for our country. They broke the mould on her passing.

    Hi all
We all have our own opinions as to which coin is the best but you have to admit there has been some very nice coins produced lately, so well done to the Royal mint, but that being said, as you know next year we are bound to see a few changes when our new King Charles sorts things out and has his say but I am just wondering how things will go with our coinage, our prime minister Mr Rishi Sunak has already said we will be having a new one pound coin, but will any of the other denomination s be changed like the shield sets, there are 16 sets so far, will we have more ?, they will change to the point of having a new figure head on the obverse but apart from that we will just have to wait and see.

Hi Les, thanks for your comment. It’s an exciting time for coin collecting at the moment but much is yet unknown. We’ll have to wait and see what the new year brings.

There have been so many new coins and the decision was very difficult . I defiantly prefer the more traditional designs. Due to fact of so many new coins being produced, I can only purchase so much in a year. I only ever order Commemoratives at the introductions prices or free , these I give to my young Grandson in the hope he gets the bug for collecting coins. Then when I’ve left this world he can inherit my collection and continue collecting coins and add to the collection.

Hi Wayne, thanks for your comment. We’ve had some great pop culture themed coins this year but we’ve also seen some incredible royalty themed issues, so hopefully there is something to suit everyone’s taste.
      Kind regards, Kate

My Son was born in thee year of the Tiger and he appreciated his date stamped coin that I gave him for his Birthday. That is why it gets my vote.
