    hi,

I have 28 out of 29 Olympic 2012 50p coins and have the final one “Handball” coming to me XD
but I am confused by the “scarce Olympic 50p” fiasco does this mean there are fake coins out there? and if so how do I determined if any of the coins I own are fake?

    please help!!

      Hi Paul

I haven’t heard any reports of fake 50p coins, so I don’t think you need to worry. The reality is that although millions of Olympic 50p coins have be placed into circulation, lots (apparently about 70%) have been kept by collectors like you. So whilst, you do still find them in circulation, many Olympic 50p coins are considerably harder to find than other coin designs or than they were a year ago.

      Hi Dave,

If you are having problems logging on to http://www.changechecker.org, please can you email details of the problem + which internet browser you are using to [email protected]. Hopefully they will be able to get you sorted.

      Thanks
