Just finished watching your very interesting 50p Q & A video and in response to your question as to what 50p’s I would like to see issued this year, top of my list – without a doubt – is to see one or more of Rupert Bear (and his chums). And the reason why, is that he will be celebrating being 100 years old this year (he was ‘born’ on 8 November 1920) which makes him the oldest (and still active) children’s ‘cartoon’ character in the world – far outliving Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear, Wallace & Grommet etc!!
I am aware that the Isle of Man mint have already got plans to issue five 50p coins in honour of this centenary event, but let’s have the Royal Mint producing one or more in recognition of this most iconic of bears!!

I’ve been putting aside unusual £2 for years – my oldest is a 1999 Rugby World Cup. How likely am I to see a 1986 £2 coin still in circulation?
