Do you own a scarce Olympic 50p?

London201250psportscoins - Do you own a scarce Olympic 50p?

Which Olympic 50p coins are most scarce?

29 million Olympic 50p coins have been released into circulation by the Royal Mint and, as already reported, as many as 75% have been removed from circulation.

But as collectors strive to build and that complete collection of all 29 50p coins, they are discovering that some sports are more elusive than others.

The launch of The Westminster Collection’s FREE online Olympic 50p Swap Centre has revealed which Olympic coins are top of the scarcity charts, with the most collectors listing them on their “Want List”.

So let’s find out – do you own of the scarce ones?

The most requested 50p coins…

Does anybody know what the 50p with BE PREPARED, wrote upon it with the fluer de leese, in the middle. I also have a 50p with what looks like to be a lady running then a thick line running through the middle of it with a cyclist on the other side of the line. There is another line which cross through the runner. It also has an X and part of an X ,to the right of the full X. On the other side ( HEADS) the queens neck runs through the P of fifty ‘P’ence lettering I think this is a misprint,a ‘second’
I also have what looks like to be somebody carrying someone and what looks like the German iron cross.lol lol I know it’s not the iron cross , maybe Victorian cross . Can anybody give me the value of the coins individually. Thank you very much in advance.

The entry into eec precidency 50p is rarer than kew gardens as only 190,000 of them were minted and put into circulation.
